The new ICON sampler has a name... and art!

Hey all... the new installment of the ICON sampler, which we're doing with Eulogy Records this time around, now has a theme: pugilism. That's right, the sweet science of boxing. So, the sampler is now called "Fisticuffs Free-for-All: ICON versus EULOGY"

Ryan over at Alphabet Arm is doing the artwork and it is shaping up to be awesome. You can check out the front cover below. The gold is going to be foil, and I think we're doing it on uncoated stock. Rest assured, it will be radical.

Release Spotlight: Circa Survive "On Letting Go"

I was looking through some samples of our recent work today and hatched an idea for a monthly bit in the blog: a release spotlight. So, each month now, I'm going to take a release that we completed in that month and do a little write up on it.

The release that caught my eye today is from a few months back, but really cool nonetheless. It's the Circa Survive "On Letting Go" Booklet and Tray we did for Equal Vision Records.

We've been working with these dudes since the beginning of ICON and they never seem to disappoint when it comes to bringing us really wacky custom packaging. This time around they have a 32 page full color book w/ custom circle die cuts of decreasing size that meet in the middle where we stapled an 8 page gate folder w/ metallic ink! The artwork throughout the book is awesome and really plays well with the die cuts.

Andre gets hitched!

Well, the big day has come and gone. Everyone here at ICON would like to congratulate our own Andre Bermudez and his new blushing bride, Danielle on their wedding. They got married over this past weekend in a beautiful backyard ceremony. Good luck! Here are some pictures of the couple, and one of Kristin from the art department and me doing the robot. Ugh.
